That's how you have an army of minute men armed with boosted laser rifles. Basically it lets you pump out massive amounts of weapon parts bit with no cost. X+ mods exist for multiple items, most commonly laser weapons, but branching all the way to power armor as well. Since the results were positive for me to write it here it goes. However, I do think that it's something worth knowing. These mods have long eluded me until about a week ago when I made a poll asking about writing this article. Overall, I doubt that this will be game-changing for anyone. Second, not every mod he sells is an X+ mod, and as far as I can tell, there's no way to tell which one he's selling until you take the mod to the weapon bench. First, Teagan only sells mods for the Laser, Gatling Laser, Minigun, and Missile Launcher. That said, there are two main drawbacks to this. This means that you can use the X+ mods to either farm materials (if the indicated mod affects what you get when you scrap the item), or to increase the value of the weapon, so you can sell it for more. Scrapping or selling the weapon while the mod is attached also doesn't get rid of the copy in your inventory or workbench, either. With the X+ mods, this isn't the case: while the weapon gets the effects of the standard version of the X+ mod, the mod itself remains in your inventory or workbench. Normally when you attach a mod to a weapon, the mod is "consumed": it disappears from either your inventory, or the workbench storage. So what makes the X+ mods so special? Simple: they're reusable. It turned out to be true, so I thought I'd share. Thankfully, it had the answer I was looking for however, the claim it made was a little odd, so I tested it in-game. I therefore checked Teagan's page on the wiki. My Better Weapon Mod Descriptions mod indicated that there was no difference between the normal version and the X+ version, so I went ahead and attached it, and the weapon performed exactly as it was supposed to, so I started wondering what the difference was. There, I was surprised to discover that what I'd purchased was the Charging Barrels X+. Obviously, I purchased both, then headed to my home base to attach it. I recently purchased a Gatling Laser from Procter Teagan, and was pleased to find that he was also selling the Gatling Laser Charging Barrels mod at the same time.
